Do bad things happen in 3’s?
Is it true that bad things happen in 3s? It is, in fact, a superstition that is captivating. It is not limited to certain events but rather a variety of what some would call “bad luck”. When the third is said and done, we have a sense of relief that the streak has ended.
However, I believe that after these events, we must be able to see some light or else, how would we survive them? I have been reminded that courses can change very quickly. I have been reminded that quality time with those you love sometimes comes through circumstances we wished prior wouldn’t have happened.
I am reminded that a General needs her troops by her side when faced with battles. More importantly, when training for one, because that is what gets one through when the battles come. Our General is coming home soon and we can’t wait!
I am reminded today of the love my stepfather had for my mother, his laugh and the fact that he thinks I am a good cook! He always had a good sense of humor and a contagious laugh!
I am reminded of the love that has came throughout the years from Grandma D to my stepdaughter, my boys and their sister (who was not her biological granddaughter) but was treated just the same. I am reminded of her beautiful soul, kindness and love that has been extended to each of them.
Rest easy my souls shines.
As you live your life and the days dwindle away, please be reminded, as I am, not to wait. Time can be ripped away very quickly and the older you get, the more often it comes.
For a moment, I am going to embrace that this “streak” is over. I will let life continue on its course knowing I (and others) will face more battles. I will be a troop for those who need me and will embrace the love of my troops who make my soul shine. For now, I am going to breathe in the moments of love that I am so very lucky to have.
